PAKEJ BROADBAND TERBARU MAXIS

Maxis TalkMore28 and TextMore28

Update Your N73 To N73 Music Edition & Change Product Code Using Nemesis Service Suite (NSS)

Did you know that you can upgrade your old or early version of Nokia N73 to the new N73 Music Edition? Well here's the tip. Maybe you also want to remove your operator interface such as TIMs, T-Mobile, O2, Orange or any other operator that you have contract with. All can be done with the same tip that i about to post here.
Firstly, you need Nemesis Service Suite (NSS). To download click here. I'm gonna show you all step by step on how to install NSS. But, I want to apologise first for not using any phone to really show how NSS works. But, I guaranty this will work sinced I've done this procedure very often. Okay, let move on.
1.After you have downloaded NSS, extract to you defined folder and double click to start installation.

2.

All you need to do is just follow the arrow sign. Click on 'Next'.

3.Choose any shortcut that appropriate to you.

4.Choose 'Virtual USB Device', as you only need this to go with. Other option are for advanced users, i.e: technician, phone software programmer.

And, walla.... finish installation. click no on 'NSS Driver Installation'.

You all will have this icon on your screen.

How To Use It?
Actually it takes less than 10 minutes to use it, depends on your connectivity cable provided by Nokia or the clone ones. I suggest the provided one. Better keep it handy to have two cables. Before we go through this process please backup your phone data, i.e: contact, sms, gallery items. Not that we wanted something bad to happen, it can be unsuspected. An old Malays' say 'better to have umbrella before it rains'.
1. Click on the magnify glass icon to scan your device.

2. Then it will show this page.

3. Click on 'Phone Info'. Then click the button 'Scan' as it will scan for you phone info and display the info in the empty box and on the right panel.

4. Tick 'Enable' on the right box next to 'Product Serial Number' and click button 'Write'. NSS will write the new product code to you phones. If you feel you don't believe it, click on scan 1 more time, then maybe you'll believe it. Here are the product code that can be use to replace you old product codes. These product codes also define the language for you phones, so if there is language problem from previous product codes, this will solve it. Also this product codes are non-branded ones, as it will remove your operator setting from your phone. I know that T-Mobile always do that and it's ugly. Hehehehehehee no offense heh... please remember these codes are meant for N73 only, for other models you have to googled around for their product codes. I suggest you all to join GSM-Forum, under Nokia: BB5 section.

Maxis counter attack other telcos in the postpaid segment

Maxis Value Plus packages chart and rates charts

Maxis Communications Bhd aims to strengthen its lead in the post-paid segment on the back of its latest offering called Value Plans.

“We have simplified the structure (of our post-paid plans) and we hope this will keep us in the lead,” chief marketing officer Tom Schnitker told a briefing yesterday.

He said Maxis, which has over 50% share of the post-paid market in Malaysia, would continue to “fiercely protect” and maximise its position in the segment.

Maxis Value Plans consist of Value50, Value80 and Value150, each with a monthly commitment fee of RM50, RM80 and RM150 respectively. The value of these plans can be used for voice, SMS and data charges.

While Value50 offers the lowest monthly commitment fee, Value150 rewards users with low call rates of 10 sen per minute (Maxis-to-Maxis) and 12 sen per minute (Maxis-to-other networks).

Tom Schnitker at the briefing on Value Plans
SMS rates are at 5 sen (Maxis-to-Maxis) and 15 sen (Maxis-to-other networks) for all three plans.

Schnitker said Value50 offered pre-paid users the ideal entry point into post-paid, as the call rates were significantly lower than current pre-paid rates.

“With Value50, we are getting closer to the pre-paid market, especially in terms of usage and ARPU (average revenue per user),” he said.

He believed the impending mobile number portability (MNP) implementation would encourage pre-paid users to shift to post-paid to obtain better value in the long term.

Schnitker also said the MNP could lead to further price wars between operators. “Evidence from other countries suggests that price slashes may be intensified when MNP is implemented.”

He added that long-term growth required stable pricing and this could be achieved through the delivery of advanced, value-added services.

Utara Hati is now holding promotion from Maxis Value Plus packages, successful postpaid customers will received exclusive Maxis sling-bag. Utara Hati also promoting Maxis MNP registration. Visit our outlet now!!!!

DiGi fights back, DiGi Prepaid I Like

DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of cellular operator Digi.com, aims to strengthen its prepaid market share with the newly launched DiGi Prepaid I Like scheme.

The product allows subscribers to choose one value option and the choice to switch to another one not more than once a month at no cost, said chief commercial officer Tom Schnitker.

“The three options available — Super SMS, Super Friends and Family (Super FnF) and Super Talk — will offer subscribers the flexibility to choose based on their usage pattern,” he said at the launch of DiGi Prepaid I Like yesterday.

The plan offers a flat rate of 36 sen per minute for voice calls and 10 send per SMS to any network anywhere.

In addition, subscribers can opt for DiGi’s Super Long Life feature to extend the validity of the plan for one year at RM30.

The DiGi Prepaid I Like starter pack is currently selling at a promotional price of RM8.50 till December. It will be selling at RM13.90 post-promotional period.

“The higher-than-normal prepaid starter pack rate is one of DiGi’s strategy to lower the churn rates,” said Schnitker, referring to the volume of sale of starter packs.

“We are trying to stop the momentum of rotation churn rates with this new starter pack pricing,” he added.

On Malaysia’s high mobile penetration of more than 80%, Schnitker said DiGi had started to think on a more “segmental level” to penetrate into different segments.

As at second quarter this year, DiGi’s customer base totalled 6.6 million, of which 80% are from the prepaid segment.

Its market share in the prepaid segment, in terms of revenue, is 32%.

HTC Diamond: A Pure Gem

To take the HTC Touch Diamond seriously, you’d have to consider that it’s meant to take on the tired and flawed reigns of the Windows Mobile platform rather than become yet another iPhone alternative. For what is meant to be the culmination of the Touch series’ form and function, the Diamond is decidedly understated in what is meant to be the most powerful and useable form of Windows Mobile to date.

The specifications certainly do it justice – great spread of available memory, a complete set of connectivity features that leave little for want, decent processing power and a spectacular VGA screen. Considering what you’re getting, it’s fairly impressive to be packing all of it in its tiny and light frame, which barely tips the scale at 110 g. It’s sharp angular looks isn’t as uncomfortable in the pants as it looks, as the back of the unit is angled off at the edges, although you’d find little to appreciate with regards to the diamond-like facet of the rear cover in which the phone gets its name from. It should also be said that the Diamond’s smooth surface is a fingerprint magnet, and no surface on the unit is safe from it, but that is something most people can live by, and users can take solace in the fact that build quality is sturdy.

Sporting a new TouchFlo Today screen this time around (named TouchFlo 3D), it’s certainly a quantum leap forward in usability and eye candy. Frequently accessed phone functions such as the calendar and contacts can be pulled up by scrolling across the function tab indicated by large icons or swiping your finger across the screen, something in which Touch users will be familiar with. It’s certainly a far easier system to use on a daily basis, and the smooth integration of finger swipes within system functions outside of the Today screen is a big step forward towards capturing approval for the Windows Mobile platform, examples include the ability to scroll by swiping your finger up or down the screen or look at the next email simply by swiping your fingers towards the left of the screen.

One of the biggest improvements to be seen in the Diamond is the inclusion of Opera 9.5, which tightly integrates double tapping to zoom in on web pages and utilizing the Diamond’s built-in accelerometer in effortlessly switching to landscape mode. Rendering is admittedly fast for a Windows Mobile device, and while there is nothing particularly spectacular to be said about it on paper, it is certainly something you will need to personally experience to fully appreciate the web experience this time around. All this is rounded up by the spectacular VGA screen, which goes a long way in keeping small text very crisp and legible.

192 MB of user memory affords the Diamond a lot more headroom to play with, and system performance is certainly nifty, although that takes a hit when it comes to the TouchFlo 3D system. As much as we’d like it, the new looks is offset by its poor performance in rendering and transitioning to new screens, and you will find yourself waiting for the system to respond with a request even when there is nothing running in the background. While the Diamond sports decent specifications, it just isn’t able to keep up with TouchFlo 3D at times, and its onset of sluggishness remains as HTC’s demon in envisioning iPhone-esque usability that tries to be as fast.

Perhaps the biggest downside to all of this is the fact that the Diamond is crippled with an incomprehensibly low battery capacity. At 900 mAh, the Diamond’s many connectivity options and VGA screen will not give you more than a day of usage under even the most moderate of use, and if you’re operating on 3G most of the time, expect standby time to fall even shorter. This will indeed by the deal breaker for most, as all of the Diamond’s wondrous features will not mean a thing if it does not last long enough for users to enjoy it on the road. HTC attempts to offset this by including a second battery in the package, but the lack of a car charger for use with GPS is a glaring omission. It should also be said that the speaker volume for the Diamond is downright unusable, and its low volume makes in car driving difficult as you would need to hold the device close to your ears to be able to hear what the tiny speaker is trying to output.

All said and done, the Diamond is quite possibly the most rounded off Windows Mobile device you can find, and if you were to exclude TouchFlo 3D, the Diamond perform well under pressure in a very small and light frame. Its exquisite VGA screen is a joy to view, and Touch integration certainly makes this the most useable Wndows Mobile 6.1 device to date, but the low battery capacity threatens to offset all of that, so careful usage of power is recommended. At a time where everything is judged against the iPhone, the HTC Touch Diamond is a refreshing, albeit flawed take at PDA usability – consider pricing and battery performance as your final purchasing decision.

Mobile Number Portability In Malaysia

Thursday August 28, 2008 MYT 7:50:48 PM (Article taken from The Star newspaper)
Mobile number portability to start Friday
PUTRAJAYA: Mobile phone users can now enjoy the freedom of switching network service providers without having to forego their original phone number (including the prefix).
Effective Friday, the service will be extended to users with prepaid mobile phone numbers in the Klang Valley. Postpaid users can start enjoying the facility in two weeks.
In a statement, Energy, Water and Communications Minister Datuk Shaziman Abu Mansor said the service, known as Mobile Number Portability (MNP), would take away the inconvenience associated with switching service providers and consumers' concern over losing their contacts when doing so.
"Service providers are allowed to charge up to RM25 each time a subscriber changes their mobile phone service provider. This will give the users choice and freedom to choose their service providers without the inconvenience of having to change their numbers.
"The nationwide launch for the MNP will be in October," Shaziman said.
Shaziman said the MNP is about improved service quality, better packages, better customer service and giving consumers choice. He added that initially only individual account holders would be able to change their service providers while business accounts could do so after the nationwide launch.
He said that until the nationwide launch, each service provider would only be able to accept 100 requests per day, adding that prepaid users are advised to finish their credit balance before changing the service provider as any remaining credit would not be refunded.
"Mobile phone users are advised not to rush into porting but should first study the various packages being offered before choosing the new service provider of their choice," he said.
Mobile phone users can refer to the frequently-asked-questions on MNP at the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission website at http://www.skmm.gov.my/ and all of the mobile operator's websites to find out more about the service.
